Mail Preference Instructions

To opt out of receiving marketing mail communications (for example, offers and discounts etc.) please follow the instructions below:

For individuals: Please enter your full name and U.S. mailing address then check the box next to each GM business unit/affiliate from which you prefer NOT to receive marketing communications via U.S. postal mail. Click on the "Submit" button to record your opt out preferences. You may need to repeat this process to enter variations of your name and address information (e.g., Tim and Timothy) if you continue to receive mail marketing communications addressed to such variations. You may also repeat this process if you have more than one mailing address.

For businesses: In the section designated for business opt outs, please enter your business name, select the business designation from the drop-down list and then enter the U.S. mailing address. Check the box next to each GM business unit/affiliate from which your business prefers NOT to receive marketing communications via U.S. postal mail. Click on the "Submit" button to record your opt out preferences.

GM will process your opt out request as quickly as possible. GM will honor your U.S. mail opt out preferences for ten (10) years.

Please Note: Your opt out preference will not stop you from receiving mail communications sent: a) for a purpose other than marketing (e.g. recall information); or b) from third parties such as GM dealers or GM partners (for example, credit card issuing bank), or c) from other affiliates not listed to the left as a GM business unit. You may also continue to receive marketing mail addressed to other individuals associated with a mailing address you submit. Please review your information carefully before you submit it. While GM strives to honor every mail opt out request, it is possible that variations of your name and address information (e.g. nicknames or abbreviations) may impede our efforts.
